Single purpose
Overfetch is a developer tool for analyzing API payload overfetching on the website a developer chooses to inspect. It reports unused JSON fields, duplicate API calls, and endpoint-level payload waste.
Data the extension observes
To provide its core feature, Overfetch may observe page URLs, page titles, favicons, API request URLs, response status codes, response timing, response sizes, response JSON structure, and which JSON fields are accessed by the page during the current session.
How the data is used
Observed data is used only to create the local API payload analysis report shown in the extension popup, DevTools panel, and dashboard. Overfetch does not use this data for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or resale.
Storage and sharing
The extension is designed to keep runtime analysis data local to the browser session. Contact form submissions from overfetch.site/contact are sent to FormDB so the builder can respond to messages.
